Taking the opportunity to study and travel abroad while in university is more than just an adventure - it will blow your learning experience wide open. In addition to your lectures, labs and group work, your education on an exchange will come from living in another country, meeting people from all over the world, perhaps learning a new language, and gaining a new perspective about other cultures. An international exchange will not only enrich your degree, it will help shape who you are and where you are going in the future.

Lakehead students who have maintained a specific academic average have the opportunity to take part in an exchange in their second or third year. This is an example of the Lakehead difference. At Lakehead, we encourage our students to become global citizens and work together to better understand and shape the world around us.

While abroad, students do not pay any extra tuition. Students will continue to pay their Lakehead tuition fees as if they were at home, while taking courses in one of our Partner Universities abroad. If you take a look at tuition at institutions overseas, you will quickly discover that an exchange is a great way (and economical way) to study abroad.
