Two popular resources for hands-on experiences are our Centre for Experiential Learning and our study abroad programs. Undergraduate research opportunities are also available in a variety of fields, from the Canadian Letters and Images Project, to the Applied Environmental Research Laboratories.

Are you interested in meeting people of all ages and from all different cultures? Of the nearly 15,000 students studying at VIU, 14% are international and 12% are Indigenous. Services and supports for Indigenous students are available at Shq’apthut, VIU’s Aboriginal Gathering Place.
