2018 is finally here, and with it, the final semester before graduation! This time of the year might feel a little scary, but it’s only natural if you feel overwhelmed. The important thing is that you’ve already made it this far, and now, all that’s left is this final semester.

Right now, you’re probably dealing with a lot of exams, final projects, and other assignments. You should still work hard because grades are important, but there’s no denying that you should enjoy this final year of high school.

So, make those plans with friends, join a club or two, and find that balance between homework and fun. The grades may be important now, but it’ll be the memories that you make that will last.

Schoolwork aside, you’ll also be expecting offers of admission during this time too. Now before you choose one, take some time to review each program and school that you’ve applied to. You can get tons of information from a variety of sources, like brochures, eINFO and web pages for prospective students like the one the Waterloo has set up .

There are also more hands-on experiences in the form of open houses like Waterloo’s March Break Open House, where you can ask questions and get them answered in person! In any case, each source provides lots of information that’ll prove useful deciding where you want to go after high school.

Overall, things may seem daunting, but all that you need to do is to believe in yourself and to get just the right balance between work and play. There’s nothing wrong with having a little fun or even just taking a little break. No matter which university you choose, just remember that this your time to shine.
