Seneca's HERizons Program Offers Free Career Support and Training for Women
Whether you're looking to advance your career, build your own business, or return to the workforce, Seneca's HERizons program will help!
Are you a woman looking to advance your career, re-enter the workforce, or start your own business? Seneca College’s HELIX’s HERizons program is helping to dismantle gender barriers in the workplace by providing free career support and training specifically developed for women.
Offered through HELIX, Seneca’s innovation and entrepreneurship incubator, Career HERizons is now offering programs and services tailored to help those who identify as women make achievable plans for the future they want.
What can HERizons offer you?
Currently, the initial Career HERizons offerings include cohort-based training courses in business English and business math. With HERizons, you’ll also have:
- targeted workshops, online and in-person
- immersive VR simulation learning sessions on topics such as how to prepare for interviews and public speaking
- access to HELIX, Seneca’s innovation and entrepreneurship hub
- career development sessions
- microgrants for female entrepreneurs
- networking events with successful entrepreneurs
- HELIX RISE, an annual summit that brings together female thought leaders to share insights on topics such as personal branding, finances, and more
- access to technology (e.g. laptops and printers), childcare, and/or transportation for in-person event participants
“We are #SenecaProud to offer free support and skill-development opportunities to women exploring a new career path,” said Chris Dudley, Director, Entrepreneurship, Seneca Innovation. “HERizons will also introduce participants to thought leaders and new support networks to help them reach their goals.”
