Description:

Whether you go on to manage an entire hotel resort complex, organise weddings or run major conference events, this course gives you the experience and industry insight you need. Alongside the key management skills, you'll also study a range of industry-specific modules such as resort operations management, planning business events and planning celebratory and special events. We'll also train you to work with OPERA (internationally-used hotel booking software) and ARTIFAX (venues and events management software).


In addition to a variety of field trips to locations, such as the Cotswold Water Park, Three Choirs Vineyard and Montpellier Chapter, you will also gain experience through your placement year. Students have worked with organisations such as JTT Events, Cheltenham Racecourse and New County Hotel. If you would like to take your placement overseas you can take advantage of our links to the Sea Pines Resorts, Marriott Hotels in the USA, Q Hotels and Smoke Tree Ranch in California.
