DescriptionStudents in this degree will specialize in applications of music technology - including sound recording, sound editing, sound synthesis, digital music composition - and they will also have opportunities to explore music technology as a component of live performance. As well, students will gain knowledge pertaining to the distribution of recorded material, including delivery requirements and licensing.

The students in this program will possess a variety of musical backgrounds and skills. Although technology and digital media are the focus of the program, we expect that many students will have significant experience and continued interest in performance and/or composition and will be largely focused on the intersections between music technology and their ongoing activities in performance and/or composition. Others will focus more exclusively on music technologies.
