Chris Thomas, BA'97

Chris Thomas, BA'97, graduated with a double major in psychology and sociology and is a senior consultant with The Classic Business Consulting Group. He has 15 years’ experience in the development and application of organizational effectiveness strategies, with a particular focus on recruitment and retention programs. He has been recognized by industry and in the media as a specialist in the areas of recruitment, retention, temporary foreign workers, labour forecasting and more. Chris has been invited to provide input to governments both in Canada and abroad on a number of regulatory program and policy changes related to human capital. After conducting 10,000 interviews with candidates from more than 120 countries, Chris is regarded as an expert in the field of multinational and intercultural recruitment.

Dawn Johnston, MA'99, PhD'05

Dawn is the associate dean of Teaching, Learning and Student Engagement in the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Arts and is a senior instructor in the Department of Communication, Media and Film. Her research and teaching interests include gender and sexuality in popular culture, food culture, and the scholarship of teaching and learning. Dawn is a proud UCalgary alumna and is excited to work at her alma mater on curriculum design, learning outcomes and teaching development within all of the programs offered by the Faculty of Arts.
