Graduates of the Painting major will demonstrate an understanding of historical and contemporary painting practices and be familiar with various techniques, skills, and processes in order to make informed choices as relevant to individual studio art practice.
Students will understand a wide range of media, materials and modes of critical inquiry and develop an understanding of critical language and vocabulary relevant to artistic research.
