With its reputation as Canada's cultural and business centre, Toronto attracts more visitors and immigrants than any other Canadian city.

You may experience some adjustments, depending on where you are coming from, or there may be little change at all. No matter where you may come from, we know you'll feel at home in Canada. Here you'll find a welcoming and tolerant place to live and work; a place where you will be free to live, learn, play or worship in any way you desire.

As a student at Humber, you'll not only have access to the exciting diversity offered by the city of Toronto, but you'll also have opportunities to participate in activities at Humber. You'll meet other international students like yourself, plus Canadian students both inside and outside the classroom. The International Student Services Office is here to calm your nerves. Our staff has spent years helping international students - just like you - settle into their new home away from home.

Academic Orientation
Humber offers a formal orientation for all academic programs, which can be a great way to learn more about your program. The orientation takes place the week before the official start of classes, so you will want to arrive in Canada early in order to take advantage.

International Student Orientation & Activities
We know it can be difficult adjusting to a new life and a new country, so we have designed a series of workshops and events to help welcome you to the Humber community. Sample workshops include:
