From the famous falls to world-class wineries the Niagara Region has it all for students - including great language schools.

The City of Niagara Falls is located in the most southern part of Canada on the Niagara Peninsula and is just 30 minutes from Buffalo, New York.

Each year the city receives over 10 million visitors from all over the world. Many come to see this natural wonder of the world but it is also becoming popular for students interested in combining a quality language education experience with the many activities available.

Niagara Falls Language School owner Corey Jubenville said his school offers over 20 unique activities per month in the summer for some students in addition to English-language courses.

"We started with a list of over 50 different activities for our summer students and all of them were great so we had a difficult time choosing which ones to offer," he said.

Most schools offer classes in the morning and in the afternoon students get to see some the many attractions and scenery as part of the cultural experience.

"We want students to experience a little bit of life here in Canada," said Excite! English owner Kevin Sawatzky. "Students study for three hours in the morning and in the afternoon we will do things together or students go off and experience the city for themselves."

In addition to walking along The Falls the city also has the Clifton Hill entertainment district where students can find things like the Guinness Book of World Records museum, several wax museums, an IMAX theatre, Ripley's Believe It Or Not and more.

Some of the more high-end activities available for students include helicopter tours of Niagara Falls, trips to New York or hot-air balloon rides.

Just outside the city students can find many outdoor activities such as hiking one of the many provincial parks, trips to baseball games in Toronto and tours of the many local wineries.
