Life at Sait Polytechnic is more than just classes, textbooks and studying, it’s an experience.  From Orientation Day students are encouraged to make time for fun in order to keep balance in their lives.  In order to promote participation the International Centre hosts numerous events and group activities such as horseback riding, skiing, cultural events and visiting various tourist attractions that students would not necessarily get a chance to experience. A number of student clubs geared towards multiculturalism have also sprung up allowing students to ward off the affects of cultural shock and homesickness.  Our Student’s Association also actively plans events that encourage all students from all backgrounds to participate.

International Education Week and International Development Week at Sait Polytechnic have become two of the most anticipated weeks of the year.  Students and staff are more than happy to volunteer their time, culture and experience to make each event more memorable than the last.  Our Saturday International Soccer league has been such a great success that we’ve added a Drop-in Bowling League and we’re planning to hold our first annual International Sports Day this fall.

By incorporating academic studies with fun activities and events students are far more engaged in their education and better prepared to enter the Canadian work force. www.sait.ca/international
