International students love to study in Montreal because it’s an exciting, safe and culturally diverse city. Concordia is a reflection of this dynamic and multilingual environment.

The International Students Office (ISO) is your main resource centre on campus and offers a variety of services to help you adjust to your new surroundings. Prior to arriving at Concordia, all accepted students are sent a pre-departure guide to assist you in preparing for your arrival in Montreal, Canada. You will find the answers to many of your questions, as well as information about the programs and services that we offer; such as, immigration information sessions, study permits, housing support, orientation and advising in cultural adaptation and integration, support in times of crisis, illness or accident, assistance with academic and non-academic issues, and short-term emergency loans.

Concordia’s International Students Association (CISA) is a great way to get involved with other international students throughout your academic years. The association is dedicated to bringing students together in a friendly environment, to learn, share and help you to adjust to Montreal and Canada. CISA organizes various activities throughout the year such as day trips, parties and inter-university games. With more than 4,300 students coming from over 150 countries, you’ll feel right at home!
