Not sure what you want to do after graduation?  Have a career path in mind?
In either case, the University of Waterloo’s hands-on work experience program – co-operative education – will get your career off to a great start.

World’s largest co-op program
Waterloo invented co-op in Canada and changed the face of education in this country. Today, 60% of our students are in co-op, making Waterloo’s co-op program twice the size of the next largest in the world.

How does Waterloo co-op work?
You’ll alternate 4-month study terms and 4-month paid work terms.  You’ll also
• try up to 4 to 6 career areas
• work in Canada or around the world
• have the opportunity to connect with over 3,500 employers worldwide – about 1,000 more than the next largest co-op program
• develop up to 2 years of work experience
• master the job-search process – from résumé writing to interview skills
• earn $25,000 to $74,000 CAD on average over the course of your studies to help pay for your education

Employers around the world
Our students find co-op jobs with world-class employers like Barclay’s Capitol, Disney, Apple, Deloitte, and Microsoft.  And even in the uncertain global economy of 2009/2010, 95% of our co-op students were employed.

Add value to your degree
Co-op graduates make 15% more than other grads. If you want to gain paid work experience, outstanding preparation for the workforce, and global recognition, consider Waterloo co-op.  Where will it take you and your career?
