Competition
“Participating in the Ontario Colleges Marketing Competition (OCMC) was an experience I will never forget," says international student from Guyana, Ricky Singh, left. “This opportunity allowed us to prepare for the reality of the Canadian workforce, meet countless employers involved with the competition, establish friendships with each other and really be a part of something great in the College.”
Team Centennial placed first overall and was declared the winners of the OCMC 2011!
Sports
Basketball, soccer, badminton, cricket, and volleyball are some of the most popular sports at Centennial. Click here for information on these and other sports at Centennial. Working out in the gyms on campus is another way our students fit exercise into their busy student life.
Networking
“Greg! I recognize you from orientation!” exclaimed Danique Williams in her friendly Jamaican accent as I entered the Student Centre for lunch. “Come to our Ugly Holiday Sweater Party," she continued as she came toward me with a flyer in her hand. Danique is part of a group of five post-graduate students in their Corporate Communications and Public Relations class, who call themselves emPoweR. They are working in partnership with Dress for Success Toronto, a charity that provides clothing and workshops to disadvantaged women entering the work force. They are networking, they are part of something great, they are making a difference and are having fun doing it; inviting students to 'strut your stuff' while we vote on the ugliest sweater of all at their charity event.
