There are many opportunities for international students to get acquainted with their fellow students, their new city, make the most of their time in college, while at the same time expanding their skills and resume.

To help familiarize students with their new surroundings, Seneca provides a week-long orientation that covers things such as how to take public transit in the city, local shopping, and trips to local landmarks. Additional informative and social activities take place throughout the year to keep students engaged. Many culturally specific and general interest clubs are also available on campus for students who want to connect with people with similar interests or backgrounds.

These activities provide opportunities to meet people with similar interests, along with the chance to network, build relationships, and develop leadership skills. Seneca also offers a Leadership program which offers a variety of workshops/activities/events to allow students to build upon their leadership skills and form relationships all while earning credits toward different leadership certificates.

Full-time students at Seneca College can also now receive an official record of their participation and achievement outside the classroom with the launch of the College’s new Co-Curricular Record.

A Co-Curricular Record documents a student’s on-campus activities and accomplishments while completing an academic program. It can include activity participation, awards, leadership experience, or professional development. Once all activities have been verified, students can request to have the Co-Curricular Record printed as a great addition to their resumes, portfolios and transcripts.
