Making the Admissions Process Easier - the Grant MacEwan Experience

Grant MacEwan University knows that travelling abroad for school can be intimidating and overwhelming. However, we want to make this process as smooth as possible for you as an international student.

Grant MacEwan Univeristy has 7 baccalaureate degrees, 3 University transfer programs, over 40 career diplomas and certificates, as well as bridging programs and English preparation for academic studies for international students. Over 1000 international students from over 65 countries enjoy MacEwan’s small classes, support services, varied learning formats, on-campus housing, and modern facilities.

We hope the number of International students will grow and our current and future efforts will be directed to increasing that proportion. Grant MacEwan University welcomes those with different backgrounds and perspectives into the learning community. Enhancing diversity at Grant MacEwan University is one of our top priorities.

Simply apply to your desired degree or diploma program and if you do not meet all the admission requirements you automatically will be offered admission to our University Studies International Program (USI). The USI program is specifically designed for the International student that has not yet met admission requirements to one of Grant MacEwan University’s academic programs.

If you are lacking the appropriate high school courses, your high school GPA is too low, or you have not met the English Language Proficiency requirements for your goal program then the USI program can help you bridge the gap and gain entry to your goal program.
