Humber CollegeStudents will quickly discover that student life at Humber College goes above and beyond reading books and studying for exams. Students are immersed in many activities providing them with opportunities for personal growth, physical health, and mental wellness. Humber ensures student life in Canada becomes a memorable experience leaving behind language barriers, homesickness, and culture shock by converting challenges into opportunities.

There are many opportunities for students outside the classroom and a variety of events where students acquire knowledge, practice their skills and gain confidence while preparing for life in Canada. International Educational week (IEW) for instance, is an opportunity for international students to showcasedifferent cultures and traditions while merging them into the multicultural society called Canada. Moreover, since students manage, plan, organize, and take part in these activities, students realize how much potential they have and how much Humber has become their second home.

Humber services provide the tools students need to have a greatexperience in Canada.Humber’s main focus is to not only promote intellectual growth, but also interpersonal activities where students have fun without sacrificing their education.

Examples of these activities are the different workshops that are carried out by the International Centre, Liberal Arts and Science, HSF, and each department at Humber using a multicultural approach.

The uncertainties and fears about student life which once were there havebecome a fun, exciting, and engaging opportunity to take in Canadian society.
