When international students come and study at King’s, they don’t just get an education. They get the opportunity to grow holistically as a person and develop life skills that enable them to thrive in society. King’s is a unique place where students are immersed in an atmosphere that is welcoming, caring, and supportive. We pride ourselves on being a community that genuinely cares for our students as individuals, and this can be said of all our professors, support staff, and fellow students.

“When I first came to Canada, it was very different from where I came from. I was afraid that I will be alone and different, but King’s was so much better than I expected. There is a sense of community and everyone is familiar. Adjustment wasn’t hard because there were always people you can count on,” says Regina Afable, a 3rd year Commerce Student from the Philippines. “When a natural disaster hit my country recently, students took the initiative to come together and raised funds for the typhoon victims there. People I didn’t know would even ask me how my family is doing. I am so glad I went to King’s!”

With a vibrant Student Life on campus, there is programming that caters to every student’s needs. International students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of events programmed specially for them, as well as other campus activities. From weekly cultural lunches to monthly off-campus outing events, to Globe Aware Week and Reading Week trips, there are numerous ways to get involved. King’s also encourages students to tap into their strengths to grow as individuals and student leadership provides ample ways to develop such skills. But don’t just listen to us talk about it, come see for yourself!
