International Student Scholarships at Humber College
Don't miss out on these great opportunities!
“Yes, Humber offers scholarships to international students!” That’s the proud response we’re able to give to a common question.
Humber offers two types of scholarships to international students. The first type—Bachelor’s Degree Scholarships—are automatic and unlimited in quantity! These scholarships are available to students coming directly from high school/secondary school studies, who haven't studied in Humber's EAP program or attended college or university before, and who have a minimum high school achievement of 75%. Students first need to be accepted into one of Humber’s 16 Bachelor’s program (e.g., Child and Youth Care, Commerce, Criminal Justice, Creative Advertising, Digital Communications, Journalism, International Development). No application is required! The scholarship can be as high as $4,000 per year for all four years of a degree program ($16,000 in total)!
The other opportunity—the International Entrance Scholarship—is open to students pursuing any diploma, certificate, or degree program at Humber. This scholarship has three levels: full tuition (renewable), $5,000 (renewable), and $1,000 (one-time only). These scholarships are divided throughout our three semester start dates each year: September, January, and May.
First, students need to be accepted into a program. Humber sends a scholarship application form to all accepted students. Students also need to submit a personal statement (maximum 500 words), resume, and two reference letters with the form. These applications are considered based on academics and community involvement.
The other important part is the deadline! Students must apply almost three months before their program start date. For our May 2015 start date, the scholarship deadline is February 9, 2015. For September 2015, the scholarship deadline is May 25. All applications should be submitted by e-mail to the e-mail address written on Humber’s scholarship application form.
