Algoma Offers Some of the Best Entrance Scholarships

When considering a university, students should be aware of the financial aids offered to students at a university. At Algoma University, we offer some of the best entrance scholarships in Ontario for students coming directly from high school.

Students who have achieved academic excellence and maintain an 80.0 percent or above average may be entitled to a scholarship valued at $8,000, $10,000 or even $12,000 over the duration of four years! Generous scholarships like the ones offered at Algoma U help cover the cost of tuition, residence, food, and books and make the stress of budgeting not as difficult.

And these are only our entrance scholarships. Students also have access to a variety of other scholarships and bursaries which are allotted based upon academic success and/or a demonstrated unmet financial need. We have a variety of scholarships offered for students in different programs and courses, continuing with education, who have alumni as parents, and for student-athletes. International students are also eligible for program-specific scholarships, valued up to $5,000 annually for a maximum of three years.

There are also other ways to curb the cost of attending Algoma U. Students can take part in the cooperative education program, where they will gain real job training and valuable experience all while earning between $12-20 an hour! There are also part-time and summer employment opportunities on campus, as well as internships.
