It’s time to start thinking about how to make 2017 your best year yet! It’s important to make the most out of your last few months at High School whilst thinking about your next chapter:

  1. 1. Plan Your Time
You’re now into the final months of high school so it’s important to plan your time carefully. It’s handy to have a diary; using your phone is a great way to keep up to date. Pencil in important dates like deadlines and college open days to make sure you never miss out.
  2. 2. Think Ahead
Consider life after high school – you have lots of options! You can take a gap year or launch straight into college. It’s worth thinking about universities overseas too and exploring an exciting city; like Newcastle upon Tyne in the UK.
  3. 3. Boost your CV
This is a great time to get your CV together and take new opportunities to make sure you have a strong university application. College can be competitive and extracurricular activities and volunteering can give you the edge to make your application stand out.
  4. 4. Start Saving
Whether you choose to take a gap year or jump straight into college it will certainly help to have some money behind you. If you have a part time job, try and put some money aside each month. It is also worth looking into scholarships and bursaries at different universities, you may be surprised what’s available to you!
  5. 5. Have Fun!

High School is one of the best times in your life so make sure you make the most of your final months outside of the classroom too. Enjoy time with your friends and family before you head off for your next chapter.
