Summer is a time to switch gears and put down the books in favour of making a little money and gaining some valuable work experience. Here’s how Concordia University can help you with the summer job search.

  1. 1. Job postings and job search advice

Montreal is one of the world’s truly great cities (and the top spot for students on the planet, according to Quacquarelli Symonds’ 2017 ratings), and the city comes alive in a whole new way in the summer, with festivals, events, and activities galore. Concordia’s Career and Planning Services can help you find a career-related job in Montreal. Search the CAPS online job bank, sign up for job alerts based on your degree program, or come in for a career counselling appointment. You’ll get help with your resumé and the chance to do mock job interviews.

  2. 2. Paid internships through the Co-op program

When you sign up for Co-op as part of your degree, you’ll alternate study terms with work terms, completing paid internships in your field. As a Co-op student, you can do your work terms just about anywhere, giving you the chance to push your limits and explore what the world has to offer.

  3. 3. Working on campus

Concordia hires students to work in athletics and recreation, alumni relations, and in our information technology services department, among other areas of the university.

  4. 4. Undergraduate research awards What better way to spend your summer than creating new knowledge? Pursue the work you’re passionate about with stipend to support you through 16 weeks of full-time research under the supervision of a faculty sponsor.

Another great option for your summer break:

Do a short-term summer exchange through Concordia International, while earning credit towards your degree.
