The University of Gloucestershire is proud to have been awarded the Erasmus+ Charter for Higher Education, which means we receive European funding to support student mobility in Europe. We use this to offer financial support to our students interested in undertaking 2-month summer placements in other European Erasmus+ programme countries.

Why not spend a summer in Spain, working full time to get some valuable experience, whilst also receiving additional funding to help with the costs?

3,000 of our students are on full-year placements in the UK and abroad every year, but if you don’t want to lengthen your degree don’t rule out options open to you during term-time, in the Summer or even come graduation! We are here to help you explore the opportunities around…

…and in Cheltenham and Gloucester there is a world of opportunity.

Competition makes graduation tough, making the way you spend your summers more important than ever.. Our Future Plan team at UoG is dedicated to helping you enhance your employability skills to secure internships, jobs or volunteering opportunities. We even have our own employability awards to ensure your achievements are fully recognised.

Some of the many rewards of spending time abroad include being able to:

    • Widen your circle of friends internationally;
    • Embrace the challenge of being immersed in a different culture;
    • Learn a new language;
    • Travel to new and exciting places;
    • Gain real world experience;
    • Step outside your comfort zone;
    • Grow confidence in your capabilities to adapt and live independently.

What are you waiting for?
