Make the most of your enforced isolation with these four tips.

A young woman works comfortably from her kitchen table during the coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak.

So your classes have been moved online. After a semester of learning how to interact with course material and peers in class, suddenly you have to readjust. What is the best way to do this and continue to be successful? Here are some quick tips that will allow you to continue to achieve greatness during this new transition to online learning.

1. Keep with your schedule

While you may not be able to go to campus for class or attend an in-person study group, a regular routine is key to helping you feel productive and alleviate stress.

2. Establish a good work space

Find a quiet place with freedom from distraction. So when you sit down in that space, you know it's time to focus.

3. Continue to ask for help

Professors at Booth UC want you to reach out. While in-person conferences may no longer be an option, students can reach professors by email, online platforms, and phone. Just because your classes are no longer in-person, it doesn't mean you should stop asking for help!

4. Take breaks

With all that has changed, it is important to take care of yourself. You may find that you are tired, or that spending so much time on the computer is difficult. Take multiple stretch breaks throughout the day. Do your best, and be sure to look after yourself!
