Minecraft Education Collection
Minecraft, one of the most popular and enduring video games of all time, lets players build and explore incredible worlds of their own design. It's like a virtual LEGO kit where even the bricks are made of yet-smaller bricks.
To support students during the coronavirus pandemic, Minecraft has made its entire Education Collection totally free until June 2020.
Minecraft players can experience the International Space Station, Mount Olympus, and Washington, DC, just to name a few of the modules. It's free, so why not check it out?
Minecraft: Education Edition
The team behind Minecraft: Education Edition has also extended access to educators and learners through June, 2020. Education Edition is meant as a collaborative classroom supplement, and features lessons in STEM, language, history, and more.
If you've got an Office 365 Education account through your school, you can get full access. Check your eligibilty here.
Even if you're ineligible, you can check out a lesson on the basics of coding, totally free.
You may be stuck inside in the real world, but there are plenty of virtual worlds to explore!
