Our Agricultural and Heavy Equipment certificate and diploma programs will get your hands on the newest and largest industry equipment in service. These comprehensive programs will give you a thorough understanding of engines, hydraulics, braking, electrical, starting, charging, fuel systems and more. Our classrooms are discipline specific (i.e. motor lab, machinery lab) with small student to instructor ratio and personal workbenches. The class atmosphere is filled with dedication but at the same time you will find yourself relaxed and informal. We also have fun! The Steak Fry & Car Bash, volunteering with STARS, and our very popular Shop Night are all Ag Mech club functions!

Earn while you learn

Does the idea of earning while you learn sound good to you? As an Apprentice Landscape Horticulturist you will be on target for a rewarding career as a Journeyman Landscape Horticulturist. Blend your learning in the classroom with on the job training. Our accomplished and qualified faculty will show you the skills you need to be a successful professional.

Earn your certificate while working in parks or golf course maintenance, horticulture marketing and nursery or greenhouse production. Landscape Horticulturist is a Red Seal trade, so graduates can find employment across Canada.

Pre-employment training

Motorcycle enthusiasts have a true passion for the open road and for ensuring their bikes are performing at a top-notch level. Whether you are looking to begin your career as a Motorcycle Mechanic, or you are a hobbyist looking for professional training, the Pre-Employment Motorcycle Mechanic program might be a fit for you. This twelve-week program will prepare you to use industry procedures for entry-level assembly, maintenance, repairs, and restoration of motorcycles and multi-wheeled lightweight all-terrain vehicles.

Whether you are looking at entering the workforce, performing basic welding tasks, or creating works of art, our Welder (Pre-Employment) program is the place to start! Welders join or sever metals in beams, girders, vessels, piping and other metal components, make metal parts used in construction and manufacturing plants, and weld parts, tools, machines and equipment. Welders typically utilize a number of processes including electric arc, gas welding (oxy-acetylene) and electron beam. This program will introduce you to the skills of the welding trade.

Taking a pre-employment program can really open your eyes to what that industry is all about and prepare you for the specific challenges of your selected trade. Once you have completed the first level of the apprenticeship training, employers will know that you have prior knowledge and experience that could be very beneficial when they take you on as an apprentice to achieve your journeyman certification.
