University entrance ccholarship for high school students
The University Entrance Scholarship program provides guaranteed renewable scholarships to incoming high school students who present a minimum award average of 75%. Scholarship recipients are identified through the admission process when an application for admission for a September start is received by the April 1st deadline. For those who plan to start in January, an application for admission must be submitted by August 1st.

Athletic awards
Are you an athlete? Do you excel in your sport? If so, you could earn an athletic award! The Financial Aid and Awards office works closely with Concordia University of Edmonton’s Athletics Department to provide award opportunities for student athletes. Prospective athletes are encouraged to contact the Athletics Director for more information. Check out two of the athletic awards you could receive:
Davison Rotary Bursary
Award amount: Variable
The Davison Rotary Bursary is an annual award for a student enrolled in an undergraduate degree program. The recipient must be registered full-time, present a minimum satisfactory academic standing for their program of study, demonstrate a commitment to physical activity through enrolment in physical activity courses (e.g. DAN, PACT, PAT, or PESS courses) or participation on a Thunder Athletic team, and demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to students who live in northeast Edmonton and volunteer in their community.
Maple Leaf Athletic Club Scholarship
Award amount: $1,000
The Maple Leaf Athletic Club Scholarship is an annual $1,000 award to a full-time student enrolled in an undergraduate degree program. The recipient must be registered in a minimum 60% of a full-course load, present a minimum GPA of 2.0 and demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to entrance students within the Concordia University of Edmonton Thunder Hockey Program and if no eligible applicant is found, it may be awarded to a continuing student with demonstrated financial need.

Alberta Blue Cross Entrance Scholarship
Award amount: $750
The Alberta Blue Cross Entrance Scholarship is for a first-year student who is an Alberta resident, displays superior academic achievement, and demonstrates financial need. Recipients may not be receiving other awards totaling more than $3,500.
Alberta Blue Cross Away from Home Scholarship
Award amount: $750
The Alberta Blue Cross Away from Home Scholarship is for a first-year student who is an Alberta resident, displays superior academic achievement, and demonstrates financial need. The recipient’s hometown must be at least 100 kilometres from Concordia University of Edmonton. Recipients may not be receiving other awards totaling more than $3,500.
John and Elizabeth Armbruster Entrance Scholarship
Award amount $2,000
The John and Elizabeth Armbruster Entrance Scholarship is awarded to a student entering their first year of post-secondary study (Arts, Management, or Science) directly from high school. A minimum 85% average is required.
Melba Willie Memorial Entrance Scholarship
Award amount: $1,000
The Melba Willie Memorial Entrance Scholarship is awarded to a student entering their first year of post-secondary study (Arts, Management or Science) directly from high school. A minimum 75% average is required.
Mount Calvary Entrance Scholarship
Award amount: $1,000
The Mount Calvary Entrance Scholarship is a one-time award for a student entering their first year of post-secondary study (Arts, Management or Science) directly from high school. Recipients may not concurrently hold a renewable University Entrance Scholarship.
