 Breaking Up With Your School?

Many students choose to transfer from one school to another because of academics. They might not like their current class size, struggle with the curriculum, or lack adequate support from their professors.

Others, who may have moved away in an attempt to “spread their wings,” sometimes find that they want to return home to study with their friends who chose their local university. Or vice versa.

Still others may find they’re halfway through a degree when they realize this is not the path for them.

Whatever the reason, if you are looking to transfer from another university or college, Tyndale University’s admissions counsellors are here to help you get started on a new chapter in your education.

Transferring to Tyndale is easy

The transfer process is unique to each student and is completed on a case-by-case basis.

If you already have your official transcripts on hand, our Admissions department can help give you an initial transfer credit assessment before you even apply. An official transfer credit evaluation is conducted later on in the transfer process.

If you haven’t had an initial transfer credit assessment, the first official step is to apply to Tyndale online. The application is free.

To help your admissions counsellor process your application, send us your official transcripts from all your previous post-secondary institutions — university, college, trades school, etc. — even if you did not graduate.

Your Tyndale acceptance is based on an overall GPA average of 2.0 or higher.

The transfer credit evaluation with the Office of the Registrar can begin when you receive your acceptance letter and we have your transcripts. This evaluation will show you how many of your previous university or college credits can officially be put towards your Tyndale University degree.

Once your transfer credit evaluation is complete, you’re ready to register for your courses at Tyndale, your new learning community.

With an average class size of 22, you will not be just a number at Tyndale. The community here accepts you as you are and challenges you to become the person you are meant to be.

And remember, although you may experience some stress during the process of transferring, our admissions counsellors are only a click away to provide you with any help and assurance you may need along the way.
