n the Web and Mobile Applications Development diploma program, students gain a solid understanding of application development for computer, web and mobile environments. Students learn language-independent programming concepts and techniques, including program flow, programming constructs of sequence, iteration, selection and decision-making in both traditional programming and object oriented methodologies. The program then explores a number of current programming languages and technologies including but not limited to C#, Java, ASP.net, JavaScript, JQuery, PHP/MySQL, Python, Android and Swift, allowing students to master the language-specific syntax and coding requirements to translate logical program design into fully functional computer, web or mobile applications. The program includes a six-week, 180-hour practicum placement in a real application development workplace. Upon completion of this program, students will be able to develop fully functional computer, Web and mobile applications using a variety of development platforms and techniques. |
