| Mechanical Engineering will show you not only how parts, machines and systems work, but also how to design and analyse them. These systems could be a power station, a jet engine, a car engine, or even a household object – the emphasis is on energy and design. If you are on the MEng programme you will work on a group design project in the final year; recent examples include a performance assessment of Britain’s Olympic Bobsleigh and the testing of a combustor from a Rolls Royce microgas turbine. The degree programmes are accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. |
