This program is designed for students who are seeking workforce entry communication skills. The program is divided into two modules, each lasting 4 weeks. The first module focuses on business communication skills, such as presentations, taking part in meetings, negotiating, telephoning, and using English in social situations. Students will familiarize themselves with communication tools that are mainly used in North America.
In the second module, students will learn essential workforce entry and business documentation skills and will have the option to choose two course electives. This program includes a Co-op placement. This placement enables the student to gain first hand paid experience in the chosen career field while enabling Instructional staff to observe the student in a practice situation. Please note successful completion of the Co-op is required for graduation.
