The purpose of the ESL program is to provide international students, who speak English as a secondary language, with the proper instructions and support that will enable them to improve their English language skills and prepare for further academic studies. The ESL Program will enable students to develop better and more efficient communication and, by completing the Advanced Level, students will be able to enter St. Lawrence post-secondary programs without English Language testing.
There are three levels – Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate, and Advanced, with a total of 24 hours of instruction a week. At the Advanced level, students have the opportunity to take credit courses of their choice in consultation with an academic advisor. |
