Our Chemistry with a Year’s Professional Placement MSci will give you a strong theoretical and experimental understanding of chemistry, alongside a year’s internship at a major UK company. With access to our state-of-the-art teaching laboratories, you’ll be taught by scientists who are at the forefront of chemistry research. You’ll discover traditional divisions of physical, organic and inorganic chemistry while integrating computational methods throughout – and put your learning into practise during your year-long internship. In your final year, you’ll explore your interests with a 6-month research project in our labs or with our hospital partners. At the end of your studies, you’ll be an articulate, flexible chemist, with a broad range of skills suitable for a variety of careers, from chemical, biotech and pharmaceutical industries to finance and law.
