Description:

In the criminal and social justice diploma program, students study theories of human and social behavior, criminal justice system and cultural and institutional roots of crime and deviance. Students will learn about oppression and marginalization and will further their understanding of Indigenous peoples and Indigenous knowledge. They will develop effective skills in cross-cultural relations, communication, conflict resolution and crisis intervention.

Students will engage in experiential and interdisciplinary learning opportunities to develop the knowledge and skills to further their post-secondary education or to prepare for a potential career within the field of criminal and social justice. The diploma is awarded to students who successfully complete the two year diploma curriculum, a total of 60 credits.

  •  Grade12 English 
  •  Grade11 Foundations for College Mathematics (MAP4C)  or  Grade11 Applied Mathematics  or  Grade11 Principles of Mathematics 
Applicants are required to have: Grade 12 or equivalent, and a minimum of 65% in English 12 or equivalent, and either Math 11 or equivalent (Foundation of Math 11, Applications of Math 11, Principles of Math 11, MATH 080 or MATH 082).
