Description:

Southampton is an exciting, multicultural city with a rich history. This course is for international students who would like to improve their spoken and written English. You'll study modern and classic literature, including Shakespeare. You can also learn more about the linguistics behind it. A year in another country will let you experience a new culture and improve your skills.

Linguistics is the science of language — its structure, grammar and sounds.

You'll learn how language develops and study literature and culture from other countries that speak English.
