This course offers you a unique combination – you have the opportunity to create digital media and study digital culture, and also analyse and visualise our digital world. The BA covers: digital media practice, including video and audio production and creative coding; methods for data analysis and visualisation of born-digital data; critical analysis of key debates in culture and society.
In this degree, you’ll gain practical, critical and analytical skills so you’re prepared to create and understand the media of tomorrow. When you graduate, you’ll be able to:investigate society using digital methods; work in the digital domain through creative practice; analyse critically key issues in digital culture. |
These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school. Applicants are required to have an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) 70%-75% from 6 grade 12 U, U/C or M courses.
We also recognise the High School Diploma from other provinces -including Alberta, Manitoba, New Brunswick- where we look for strong performance in grade 12 subjects, and the Diplome d'Etudes Collegiales (DEC) from Quebec.
