A Physician Assistant is a healthcare professional who supports a physician. Activities may include carrying out physical exams, ordering and interpreting tests, diagnosing and treating illness, writing prescriptions, and providing counsel to patients. The PA is not an independent practitioner; he/she works under the direction of a supervising physician. You’ll start by completing a four-year or honours undergraduate (bachelor's) degree, including specific courses, at UWinnipeg. Then you will apply for admission into the Master of Physician Assistant Studies program at the University of Manitoba. |
