St. Lawrence College in cooperation with the Canadian Institute of Bookkeeping offers a program leading to a career as a professional bookkeeper. CIB is a national, non-profit organization dedicated to preparing you for greater financial and job security as a Certified Bookkeeper.
The Bookkeeping certificate program expands opportunities for individuals pursuing a career in bookkeeping. The program will provide the student with the skills and knowledge required to set up and maintain a complete set of books for a small to medium sized business. The required courses provide a thorough understanding of the technical knowledge and applications of general bookkeeping principles. Students progress through introductory, intermediate and advanced levels of bookkeeping. |
These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school. Applicants to the program must hold an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (O.S.S.D.) or equivalent or must qualify for mature student status (19 years of age or older). |
