Description:

A Doctor of Behavioral Health with a management concentration from ASU explores current issues in management and behavioral care in integrated primary care environments. The DBH degree’s management concentration can help you develop the tools, training and experience to pursue leadership roles in healthcare administration and keep pace with new trends in behavioral intervention.

The Doctor of Behavioral Health with a management concentration is an 84-credit program focused on preparing you for the rapidly evolving integrated care landscape. The curriculum features synchronous and asynchronous learning opportunities, which allow you to set your own schedule and communicate with peers and professors in real time. In addition to the ASU Online coursework, you’ll have access to live webinars with faculty members and internship opportunities in real-world healthcare settings. The DBH degree culminates in a unique capstone research project that involves developing a comprehensive business plan that aligns with your personal and professional interests. You are also required to complete 240 internship hours.

    Candidates must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 in the last 60 hours of their bachelor’s degree program or in their applicable master’s degree education. Applicants with a master’s degree in business administration, public health, counseling, healthcare administration and social work are encouraged to apply, though other fields of study are also considered. If you’re a master’s degree-level professional who is currently employed or looking to work in a healthcare administration role, a Doctor of Behavioral Health may offer the advanced education and real-world insight you need to excel.

  • Additional Admission Requirements:
      An applicant whose native language is not English (regardless of current residency) must provide proof of English proficiency. Applicants with master's degrees in business administration, public health, nursing, counseling, health care administration and social work, among others, are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be master's degree-level professionals who are either currently employed or aspire to be employed in a clinical capacity within integrated health care.
