The early childhood education program prepares you to meet the educational, social and emotional needs of children from birth through age eight. Through applied activities and online coursework, you’ll complete research on this age group and learn about pedagogy, technology, policy and administration. Program graduates leave with the skills needed to apply knowledge and critical thinking into practice while working in the education field. |

Applicants must have a minimum of a 3.00 cumulative GPA (scale is 4.00 = "A") in the last 60 hours of a student's first bachelor's degree program, or applicants must have a minimum of a 3.00 cumulative GPA (scale is 4.00 = "A") in an applicable master's degree program.
All applicants must submit: Graduate admission application and application fee. Official transcripts. Personal statement. Resume. Three letters of recommendation. |
Additional Admission Requirements: | An applicant whose native language is not English (regardless of current residency) must provide proof of English proficiency. The letters of recommendation should be from individuals who have worked with you in professional or academic capacities and who can attest to your aptitude for the teaching profession and your ability to succeed at graduate-level coursework. The personal statement should describe the personal and professional goals that motivate you to apply for this program, what has led you to this career path and how this program will help you excel as an early childhood educator. The admission committee pays particular attention to the quality of writing and ideas expressed in the personal statement. GRE scores are not required for admission. |
