Description:

Engineering management is a specialized form of management that combines business acumen with technical expertise. Effective engineering managers understand complex, technical problems and can identify potential paths forward. Engineering managers are required to successfully lead engineering or technical projects. The master’s in engineering program builds analytical, leadership and management abilities so you can lead a team of skilled professionals in the workforce.

With a master’s in engineering degree, you’ll gain a wide range of skills related to a variety of engineering fields. These technical skills are complemented by data-proven organizational, administrative and planning abilities to ensure the successful completion of complex projects.

    Applicants to the online Master of Engineering program must have earned a bachelor's or master's degree from a regionally accredited institution in engineering, science or math. Also, applicants must have completed a calculus sequence with a calculus-based statistics course.

    Applicants must have a minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA in the last 60 credit hours of their first bachelor's degree program. Alternatively, applicants must have a minimum of a 3.00 cumulative GPA in the last 12 units of the postbaccalaureate transcript.

  • Additional Admission Requirements:
      An applicant whose native language is not English (regardless of current residency) must provide proof of English proficiency. Applicants must have successfully completed differential and integral calculus (Calculus I and II) and a calculus-based probability and statistics course. GRE scores are not required. Graduates of non-U.S. institutions must satisfy admission requirements established by the ASU Graduate College.
