The Interdisciplinary Studies (IDS) Major Allows students to complete a Bachelor of Arts degree tailored to their own interests, but which cannot be accommodated within existing major/minor structures. In consultation with faculty members, students design programs of study that clearly identify a designated area they with to pursue. for Example:
- Global Studies Social and Political Thought Environmental Ethics Comparative Literature Classics Postmodernism
- Creative and unique programs you develop
The program of study is proposed jointly by the student and a faculty advisor to the Faculty of Arts Interdisciplinary Studies Committee. Proposed programs of study will be reviewed on the basis of academic merit, the ability of Brandon University to accommodate the proposed program of study, and existing expertise within the Faculty and the University. Students shall normally submit proposals prior to the completion of 60 credit hours.
