| This course will explore the Canadian English language. Students will look at both spoken and written English and the origin of Canadian English. This course will also look at differences in Canadian and US English. Students will become familiar with the misconceptions between the two forms of English, and the spelling and grammar differences between them. Other components of Canadian English that will be explored in this course are grammar, pronunciations, spelling, syntax and colloquialisms. Students will also discuss how the language varies slightly among different regions. |
