This program is designed for transfer students and bachelor degree holders. As a nuclear medicine technologist, you have the power to capture not only how organs and tissues look, but also how they work. You'll build on your previous college studies to learn how to safely and compassionately administer radioactive drugs, or radiopharmaceuticals, to patients and obtain rapid-succession images where they concentrate in the body. When you graduate, you'll be ready for your new career assisting physicians in detecting and even treating certain medical conditions.
During the professional phase of 15 months, you'll follow a synchronous distance/online class schedule, which means that you will log and call in during specific class times. This schedule offers you the flexibility of an online education coupled with the community-building experience associated with classroom learning. You'll participate in clinical experiences at sites predetermined by your specific location, where you'll work alongside industry experts and gain firsthand knowledge of what it's like to be a nuclear medicine technologist.
The fast-tracked time frame of 15 consecutive months, gives you the benefit of an immersive education, and prepares you for your career faster. When you graduate, you'll be eligible to sit for registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board. And you'll be fully prepared to grow as a leader in healthcare. Is fast track right for me? Learn the difference between our accelerated and fast-track bachelor degree programs |
