The Master of Science (MSc) in Electrical and Computer Engineering program incorporates coursework and a research project which is supervised by a member of the department. Many students find that the additional qualification boosts their career trajectory, while for others it is a pathway to further research and the PhD degree. The Master of Engineering (MEng) is a terminal degree that combines coursework and an engineering project and does not provide access to a PhD program. |
These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school. In specific cases where the academic background of the student is judged to be insufficient, the department may recommend that the student be admitted to a pre-master’s program of study. The pre-master’s program is designed to bring the student’s standing to approximately the level of an Honours graduate in the ECE department, and to provide any necessary prerequisites for courses. The pre-master’s program is not meant for those students with GPAs below the university's or department's minimum requirement or who have not passed an English language examination. |
