The Internationally Trained Dentists (ITD) Program at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry is intended for graduates of non-accredited dental programs who wish to practise general dentistry in Canada. The three-year program is specifically designed for dentists who have received their dental education outside of Canada, United States, Australia (graduated before March 2010), New Zealand (graduated before December 14, 2011), or Ireland (graduated before December 5, 2012). ITD Program students will join the 2nd year class of the regular Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) Program in September, and graduate with a DDS degree upon successful completion of all three years of the program.
