This program will provide you with the opportunity to: Explore basic principles of how people learn, so you can design and deliver courses that best facilitate learning Develop foundational skills in planning course syllabi (outlines), assessments of learning, and linking specific learning experiences and assessments with broader course objectives Discover practices that facilitate learning and build your confidence as an instructor, whether you’re teaching online or in a more traditional classroom Receive supportive and helpful feedback and guidance on your proposed lessons and, for those who participate in the internship, actual classroom experiences from the faculty mentors Also, for those completing the internship, prepare a portfolio of your work that showcases your qualifications to potential employers. |
These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school. Current status as a graduate degree student or earned master’s degree. Minimum CGPA of 3.00 on scale of 4.30 (or equivalent in last completed degree). Proficiency in English. Applicants whose primary language is not English must demonstrate that their knowledge of English is sufficient to work as an instructor. Language proficiency requirements are: IELTS: a minimum overall score of 6.5 with at least a 7.0 each on the component scores for speaking and listening; and TOEFL: minimum overall score of 92 with 25 each on the component scores for speaking and listening.
