Academic Upgrading and Workplace Culture & Skills Training Preparation and Industrial Mechanic Millwright Level 1 is taught by George Brown College’s School of Work and College Preparation and Centre for Construction and Engineering Technologies (CCET).
The courses will be delivered online and in-person. Some of them are teacher-led and others follow a hybrid, self-directed format where students review the material (power points and manuals/textbooks) over a specified period of time combined with several hours of teacher-led review/question & answer time. Labs will be done in person.

- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Interested applicants will be assessed for English & Math Skills (Ontario Grade 12 or equivalent)
- Applicants must have a current resume and be able to demonstrate interest and suitability to both training and employment in the Millwright trade
- Must be able to work in Ontario
- Permanent resident or Canadian Citizen
- Must be able to commit to 32-weeks training
- Must have access to a computer and internet
