Anishinaabemowin is a unique three-year degree program available only at Algoma University, offering basic- to advancedlevel instruction in the Ojibwe language and culture. Students in the program will gain a functional level of fluency in the language and will thoroughly investigate the challenges posed by the written word. The program is of interest to students who want to teach the language, apply to graduate school in areas of linguistics or Native Human Services, and for members of First Nations communities who want to learn more about their heritage. |
