The Diploma in Dental Hygiene trains students for a number of responsibilities including assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating oral disease prevention, and oral health programs for individuals and groups. The curriculum involves courses in dental sciences, clinical sciences, and behavioural sciences. Students develop and implement oral health promotion programs, and by spending more than 600 hours in a competency-based clinical curriculum, students are prepared to meet the needs of a broad range of population groups. |
